My Hollywood Studios Must-Do’s

My Hollywood Studios Must-Do’s

Hi everyone! Long time, no blog post! Sorry about that. I’ve been busy and haven’t done anything particularly blog-worthy in a hot minute. Luckily, I ended up finding some inspiration at my favorite place on the planet: Disney’s Hollywood Studios! I already have a post about my Magic Kingdom must-do’s, so I figured I may as well share my Hollywood Studios must-do’s with you as well. Read on to find out how I spend my day at Disney World’s most underappreciated park, which just so happens to be my favorite!

1. The Citizens of Hollywood

If you’re unfamiliar with streetmosphere, it refers to the presence of lowkey entertainment such as musicians or improv troupes. My absolute favorite streetmosphere presence on Disney property is the Citizens of Hollywood! They’re a totally hilarious acting troupe consisting of characters from the silver-screen era. They are SO funny, and I pretty much never miss them when I’m at Hollywood Studios. They can pop up just about anywhere at any time, so keep your eyes peeled!

2. Everything Star Wars

I know some people are apprehensive about Star Wars having a presence in Hollywood Studios, but I can’t relate at all. I love Star Wars and everything related to it! The stage show may just be a glorified Star Wars fashion show, but I still watch it every time I’m in the park. I also definitely recommend catching the March of the First Order and stopping by the Star Wars Launch Bay! Even if you aren’t into meeting characters, there are tons of cool props and artwork to admire. And of course, no Hollywood Studios day is complete without riding Star Tours!

3. Characters Galore!

Fun fact: all of my favorite meet and greets are located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Again, that’s probably because I’m a massive Star Wars fan, but whatever. Besides, it wouldn’t really be a list of my Hollywood Studios must-do’s if Chewbacca didn’t make at least several appearances. My favorite thing about the meet and greets at Hollywood Studios is definitely the variety. You can meet classic characters, droids, Wookiees, and even galactic heroes/70s music stans! Here’s some of my favorite meet and greet shots from my most recent trip to Hollywood Studios (featuring Dani!):

4. Hit All the Cute Photo Spots

This one is for you, Disney Instagrammers. It sounds silly, but one of my favorite things to do in Hollywood Studios is hit all of my favorite picture spots! I love the old Hollywood aesthetics of the park – especially the Chinese Theater and Hollywood Boulevard. Of course, it helps to have an amazing photographer like Dani on hand to make the most of every shot! Side note: it feels like I’ve been growing out my bangs for at least a decade and I’m looking forward to moving past that stage of my life.

5. Toy Story Land

Are you really surprised Toy Story Land made my Hollywood Studios must-do’s list? The newest addition to Walt Disney World is a colorful dream come true, and I can’t wait to explore it more in a few weeks! My dad and I were lucky enough to make it to the land’s soft opening, but unfortunately, I don’t have many photos to show for it. However, I’m definitely going to write an entire post dedicated to exploring Toy Story Land as soon as I’m able! Slinky Dog Dash and popsicle stick benches, I’m coming for you.

I hope you enjoyed this slightly short post about my Hollywood Studios must-do’s! It may be small, but Hollywood Studios holds a big place in my heart. It’s my favorite place to spend the day, even if that day consists of watching the Indiana Jones stunt show three times and eating a churro. Did I cover all of your Hollywood Studios must-do’s? If not, let me know what I missed in the comments!

Summer is starting to wind down, but I’ll be traveling to both New York City and San Francisco in the coming weeks, so cheers to more travel posts! I’m also thinking of writing about what I bring with me on a typical Disney day – if that’s something you’re interested in, let me know! Also, be sure to connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!

Until the next post!
