A few days ago, one of my best friends, Emily, stopped in Orlando before she departed on a cruise. Becky and I reunited with her at Disney Springs with a mission: to vlog for Lena! Lena runs a Disney Youtube channel, but right now she’s at home in Pittsburgh, so Becky, Emily, and I took over her channel for a day. Even though we didn’t spend a whole day at Disney Springs, there was plenty of magic to be captured: the magic of the good shopping and yummy food! If you want to check out the vlog, click here…
…but if vlogging isn’t really your thing, rest assured: I’m going to recap our day in this post too. Our first stop? Sprinkles!
Sprinkles has a cupcake ATM out front for quick ordering, but if you’re like me and can’t make up your mind, going inside to stare at the cupcake display for five minutes is really the only option. I ended up getting a vanilla cupcake with sprinkles, pretty much the least exciting choice ever. It was still delicious though! Given the suffocating heat of the day, I do have to admit I ended up wishing I had gotten ice cream instead…
We spent the next hour or so walking around and shopping. I picked up a new luggage tag for my upcoming Austin trip, and I tested my luck with a new Kingdom of Cute mystery box – I got the blue People Mover figurine! After a quick stop at the Pin Trading station, we made our way to the next stop: Starbucks, of course!
I’m a big fan of tea, so when I read the description for the “Mad Tea Party,” I knew I had to try it! It’s a mix of black and passion tea, with lemonade, lime, and berries! It was SO good, and it really hit the spot on a hot summer day. Definitely check it out the next time you’re at Disney Springs!
Right now, I kind of feel like the only one who hasn’t gotten to visit Pandora at Animal Kingdom yet. Luckily, Disney Springs brought a little of Pandora to the sidewalks! Forgive the slightly blurry picture, but I just had to share this. I’m a sucker for 3-D sidewalk art! Disclaimer: I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to ride banshees standing up like this.
Our last mission for our day at Disney Springs: take some photos before Emily leaves for her cruise! Becky and I will be seeing her again soon when we visit Texas, but not soon enough! We miss you so much Em – only 21 more days!
That’s all for this little update – I’ll be back at Disney Springs this weekend to eat at Bongos, so maybe I’ll share my experience with that next! Have you been to Disney Springs recently? Do you have any tips for fun things to do? I’m always looking for ways to kill time on Disney property until I can get into the parks again, so leave a comment if you have any ideas!
On a personal note, here’s some good news: I got the internship I applied for a few weeks ago! I’m so excited to start my journey in the advertising world with IZEA. The fall semester really cannot come fast enough!
Thanks for reading this little post. Besides another update on Disney Springs, what would you guys like to see more of on my blog? I’ve been dealing with some mild writer’s block lately, so any help with that is so appreciated! Until then, I hope you have a magical weekend!
