Recently, I was able to go on a tour of the Magic Kingdom for free – all thanks to my lovely friend Emily! I had a blast, and I made sure to take notes about all of my thoughts so I could share them with you! Spoiler alert: running around the park with a guide is quite possibly the coolest thing ever. Read on to find out all the details of my Magic Kingdom Tour experience!
You might be wondering: “why would you want to go on a tour of the Magic Kingdom when you’re there all the time?” Well, if you’ve been there, you know that the wait times for rides at the park can be astronomical. One of the best parts about going on a tour is getting to do basically anything you want with no wait – how cool is that? Boarding the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train without so much as a five minute wait is honestly kind of any adrenaline rush. If for no other reason, I absolutely recommend investing in a tour just so you can experience everything the park has to offer. It would be especially helpful during a vacation, when you generally have limited time to spare!
We were able to go on all of the mountains in the park, (besides Splash Mountain, which I took a picture of instead), with absolutely no wait. Somehow, I even survived riding Space Mountain not once – but twice! Afterwards, I decided to try out a new treat – frozen Coca-Cola from The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland! I’m not a huge Coke fan, but I actually enjoyed this drink! I even decided to take a few photos with it in front of what I’m going to call the “half purple wall”:
Our tour guide was so sweet and made the whole experience a blast. It took us about two hours to do everything we wanted to do in the park. We even had extra time to ride the Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train again! At the end of our experience, we hung around Main Street for a bit, and ran into some of the colorful characters that reside there.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting Hildegard Olivia Harding, you should get your butt down to Main Street right this second and find her! She’s the sweetest and funniest suffragette you’ll ever meet, and she always has a new story to tell you. She might hit the power pose for a photo with you! Chief Smokey Miller is a delight too – he made us honorary volunteer firefighters! Seeing them was such a nice treat to end our day. The characters of Main Street are such a unique touch to the Magic Kingdom. They make the park that much more magical and unique!
Overall, my Magic Kingdom tour experience was fantastic! I definitely recommend it for anyone considering – especially for those who may be planning a trip. Riding whatever you want with no wait is totally invaluable! Having a guide also alleviates the stress of planning your day. Another plus side: because the tour is only a few hours, you still have the freedom to plan your evening! Check out my review of Happily Ever After if you’re thinking about evening entertainment options. All in all, I give the experience a 10/10.
